November is "National Home Care Month" and Northeast Professional Home Care is celebrating by honoring our patients and our valued employees who serve them.
We are celebrating because we can keep our patients in their homes and communities, with their families, where they belong.
As we celebrate home care month -and every month- we are grateful to our local community for its support and for the patients and employees that make our work so rewarding.

Senator Tom Sawyer got to see first-hand the way PASSPORT long term care affects the older
adults who depend on it. "I would never make it in the nursing home", said Hattie Taylor, a consumer of the PASSPORT Program, as she eagerly explained to Senator Sawyer how the programs allowed her to remain in the community.
PASSPORT is a Medicaid long-term care program for older Ohioans who desire community
based services to remain independent. The program provides a cost effective alternative to Medicaid-funded nursing home care.

Those who were in attendance included Senator Tom Sawyer, Jen Thorn, Mary Cernava, and Hill McGuigan from Northeast Professional Home Care, Carol Haas from the Area Agency on Aging. |
